Veegaland
Nature, art and technology have merged atop a hillock at Veegaland amusement park, Kakkanad, near Ernakulam, to fill the visitor with thrill. Initially developed as a 'very own' park for Kerala (one of the 50 most sought after tourist destinations in the world), Veega Land, within a year of its commencement became the preferred destination for fun-seekers and holiday makers in south India. Veega Land's magnificent and tranquil setting is matched only by the ambitious scale and grandeur of the park itself. The architecture expresses nothing less than the heart and soul of ethnic Kerala, with a few surprising flashes of vintage Chinese as well.

Situated at 300 metres above sea level and spread over 18.5 acres, the park offers a variety of sophisticated and exciting amusement rides. The management claims that the facilities are of international standards. Ammu, a playful baby elephant, welcomes every visitor to the green park.

The stupendous 7 storey high Vintage Castle is a monument straight out of a fairy tale, as is the eerily captivating Caterpillar Village. Add to this 21 pulse-quickening water slides, a phenomenal wave pool, the dazzling dancing musical fountain (the first of its kind in India), artfully landscaped promenades, enchanting flower gardens and a choice of 3 restaurants.

There are a wide variety of sophisticated and exciting amusement rides in Veega Land. Since majority of the rides are water based, it is very important that the water used should be very pure. 25 lakhs litres have to be purified in 8 hours. The knowledge acquired in the production of the various products manufactured by V-GUARD, has been put to maximum use in developing Veega Land.

The length of all the slides at the park comes to around 900 metres. The expertise of V-Guard Industries has been put to good use at the park. Special provisions have been made for the handicapped and the elderly. They get a 25 per cent discount on the ticket. School children going en masse get a 50 per cent discount whereas the college- going get 25 per cent.

Refreshment centres are there aplenty, as also parking space to accommodate 50 buses, 500 cars and 500 two-wheelers. The amusement park is an endeavour of V-Guard Industries that has Kochouseph Chittilappilly as the MD.

Veega land is indeed a land where the fun never stops!!
