Dear audience, the political drama will continue after a short break
Rishi Sooryan
Dear audience, don't leave your seat. The political drama will continue after a short commercial break. The characters in this drama are getting ready for their next scene in the green room. Before the play begins I will explain a few things about the previous scene. So I need a silent audience. Please stay in your seat and listen to the announcements.

The story of this drama began in 2001 May. At the centre stage is a group of people, named UDF. These groups have group rivalries too. Whenever an opportunity presents itself, many of the leading players will employ a very sharp on the guy in front.. Besides this infighting, there is a strong faction out to wreck the ship. Let's call them Congress I. They proclaim they are the true inheritors to Indira Gandhi's heritage. An official opposition is also present in this drama. The main actor is V S Achuthanandan.

Now, ladies and gentlemen, we can go through the story. I will explain the story in short. Before that, I think you have got an idea about the characters of this drama which we have presented.

From the beginning UDF had been facing numerous problems which most likely will continue eternally. Indira's camp follower has been, from the beginning, trying to be a thorn in the side of UDF, succeeding enormously. He has got two accomplices in UDF camp. Besides these two, his children are waiting in the wings to be anointed as cabinet ministers. To topple UDF, these forces have been trying many tricks. But alas, all of them have boomeranged.

'I's canny fox has been moving his pawns around but the chief minister has proved to be more than a match for the old man. Like a magician, the CM has scuttled all the moves of the old fox and even defeats the man's efforts to bring his children on the scene.

I forgot to tell you one thing. There is also an apex body, the high command. This body has the power to control the war, but has chosen, from the beginning, to suffer from myopia.

After the UDF victory at Thiruvalla the high command is still stuck for words, not to mention action. Obviously all of them are tuned to the news from Iraq.

Now, for a short commercial break.

This commentary is for those who dozed off while watching the farce. And dear audience, get ready, for the next episode.
