Mammootty
completes Vande Mataram
Vande Mataram, an investigative
action thriller with superstar Mammootty and Tamil action hero Arjun
in the lead, has completed its shooting.
The film is a bilingual project, being made simultaneously in Tamil
with the title Aaruvadai.
Vande Mataram, directed
by T Aravind, tells the story of a group of officers protecting the
country from the infiltrations of an international terrorist organization.
Mammootty plays an officer in the Intelligence Bureau while Arjun plays
a Superintendent of Police.
It features two heroines, Sneha opposite Mammootty and Shardha Arya
opposite Arjun's pair.
Deepak J D makes his debut as villain. Other important roles include
Jagadish, Jai Akash, Riyaz Khan, Vijayakumar, Rajan P Dev, Raj Kapoor
and Mumtaz.
Produced by Pankaj films Henry, this patriotic action adventure has
been made at a whooping budget of 14 crores and will hit theatres on
July 4.
