Sulthan--Tale of two medical students
The shooting of Sulthan, directed by Sree prakash is fast progressing in Kozhikode. It is a campus love story but not a mushy romance film, said the director. The film has Vinu Mohan and Varada in lead roles.

Vinu plays a Sivarajan, a medico, who is disturbed because his fiancée Nishitha, played by newcomer Varada, has been pestered frequently of late by a boy. Sivarajan alias Sulthan and Nishitha, his junior in medical college, have been going steady for a few years and have the blessings of their parents.

Sivarajan is the son of a teacher and comes from a rural background, where Nishitha is city-bred and is the daughter of a doctor couple.

The film written by Vinod Guruvayoor and Jayan Sivapuram, also stars Lalu Alex, Jagathy Sreekumar, Shari, Vijayaraghavan, Salim Kumar and Shammi Thilakan. Camera is by P Sukumar and editing by Ranjan Abraham. A lyric penned by Kaithapram have music by M Jayachandran.

The film produced by Gopi Manasseri under the banner of Abhirami Krishna Productions is expected to release in July.
