Priyamani in Robot
Priyamani is on cloud nine. She is being flooded with offers after the announcement of the national awards and has grabbed a role in Shankar's Robot along with Rajanikant and Aishwarya Rai. And the reason is that the ace director congratulated Priyamani on her winning the national award for her performance in Paruthiveeran.

Shankar who is on a world tour location hunting for Robot, has sent her a telegram congratulating her and expressed a desire to meet her. It is not for nothing that Shankar found time to send her a telegram, says film circles.

Priya no longer has to chase directors. Rather, it is the other way round. She has now decided to be choosy as she wants to do a mixture of glamour and off-beat roles.

She started her film career with her debut film in Kollywood called Kangalal Kaithu Sei alongside actor Vaseegaran. The film was a flop at the box-office and she moved on to Malayalam and Telugu films owing to a lack of offers in Tamil films. She made her Telugu debut in Pellaina Kothalo with Jagapati Babu. Priyamani rose to fame with this film.

Priyamani has made her Tamil comeback with her film Paruthiveeran starring debutant Karthik Sivakumar. She has also signed on for another Tamil film in which she plays the lead role with actor Jeevan.
